Container drayage coordination
The Freight Broker LLC helps arrange container drayage between ports or rail ramps and warehouses or other facilities. Send the actual terminal and delivery location so we can discuss carrier coverage and the requirements for your container move.
Start with availability and release details
Tell us the port or rail terminal, container number if available, size and type, gross cargo weight, availability date, and last free day if known. Confirm required releases with the responsible parties; a container showing availability does not by itself confirm every release is complete.
Plan the delivery and return
Describe whether the destination needs a live unload or a drop, whether an appointment is required, and any site restrictions. Equipment arrangements, return instructions, and empty-container return windows need coordination.
Discuss charges before dispatch
Ask whether the quote includes chassis use, waiting time, pre-pull, storage, and other applicable services. Terminal or equipment charges may be separate. Confirm responsibilities and the agreed scope in writing; do not assume a quote covers every possible charge.
What to send for a quote
- Port or rail ramp, terminal, and destination address
- Container size, type, number if known, and cargo weight
- Availability, release status, and last free day if known
- Live unload or drop preference and delivery appointment
- Known chassis needs and empty-return instructions
Common questions
Can you arrange a move from any terminal?
Send your terminal, lane, dates, and container details. Coverage and availability must be confirmed for the specific move before booking.
Is drayage the same as long-distance truckload shipping?
Drayage commonly describes a container move connecting a port or rail ramp with another facility. Truckload service is a different arrangement. Tell us whether your freight stays in a container or needs to be transferred.
